Excellence in ruminant nutrition and productivity consulting

Malijo is a small business that is passionate about helping livestock producers to become increasingly profitable and sustainable within this constantly changing environment.

The world has an increasing demand for food from production systems that are required to have decreasing carbon footprints. Malijo is at the forefront of the dairy industry in its “clean and green” philosophies and consulting practices.

Malijo achieves increased efficiencies by working closely with biologically focused agronomists and applying superior ration balancing. Benchmarks of pasture utilization, water use and feed conversion efficiencies are all vastly improved relative to industry standards.

Two quotes inspire my philosophies and consulting principals:

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got”.

 - Alan Scott

In many cases, current dairy farm practices (the old way of thinking) are barely producing enough profits to survive, let alone produce the returns that farmers deserve for their investment of time, effort and money. This alone highlights the need for a paradigm shift.

“Today’s challenges will never be resolved with the same level of thinking that created them”.

 -Albert Einstein
